Our 16 foot OnSite Storage Containers can be rented for do-it-yourself moves around the DC area.

Long Distance Moves

Zippy Shell provides long-distance move services for destinations over 300 miles from our facility. These moves are performed in our 15 foot storage containers. Each container is 15’ long by 7’wide and will hold 3-4 furnished rooms. You will have up to 3 days to load the container before it is picked up and transported to our destination warehouse. The delivery date to your new home can be scheduled for additional convenience.

If you prefer a full-service move option, Zippy Shell can provide the moving labor to load and unload the containers for you. Our team are licensed, insured, professional movers. They will protect your floors with runners and carpet shield before beginning work. They will disassemble furniture (if necessary), wrap/pad your furniture with 3-ply furniture pads, and load everything (including boxes that you packed yourself) into the container(s). At your destination, the team will unload everything into the rooms of your choice and perform reassembly if needed.

Pricing for both self-loading and full-service long distance moves depends on many factors. A long distance move consultant will be in touch to collect some basic information about your move. They can provide a quote in less than five minutes. We are available 7 days a week at 703-349-5288 if you prefer to call.
